Formed in
Melbourne in 1995 as The Creeps, The Sailors played garage blues - in all of it's usual and suspect forms. They specialised in writing memorable character vignettes such as ‘Teenage Homosexual Blues’, 'Back in the Closet' and 'Barry's Place (Twins Moons of Xytharaeous)'.
The group is on a form of extended hiatus.
